Takstar SGC-598 On Camera Shotgun Microphone

The Takstar SGC-598 is a cardioid, on-camera shotgun microphone for interviews and general video work. It’s suitable for use with DSLR & Digital Video of most makes and models.

The mic body features an aluminium alloy houses and boasts an excellent pick-up range (up whilst retaining accuracy and very good reduction of background and ambient noise). Robust shielding technology ensures effective protection from electromagnetic interference. Furthermore, the on-board sensitivity switch allows you to set the gain level according to the distance from your subject. Additionally, there’s a low-cut function to further reduce noise.

Conveniently, the Takstar SGC-698 will fit most digital cameras as standard via the cold-shoe adapter. Built-in anti-vibration design helps reduction mechanical noise as well handling and unwanted noise from vibration. A standard 1.5V AA battery is all that’s required to power your mic giving you around 100 hours of use (low power indicator shows when to replace the battery).

Fantastic audio performance at a budget price (out-performing many of the more expensive models).
