Overview
The Red5 Audio RVD30 is a high quality dynamic microphone featuring a hyper-cardioid polar pattern (for maximum directional pick-up). As with all Red5 Audio microphones, the build quality of this RVD30 dynamic microphone is first-class. We haven’t skimped on anything, from the capsule to the gold-plated connectors. It all adds up to a really high-quality dynamic microphone that looks, feels and sounds like a professional piece of kit. Tailored to suit a wide variety of applications the RVD30 delivers quality on a tight budget. A high quality (moulded to fit) robust stand clip (with brass insert) is included.

In Use
As mentioned, the RVD30 features a hyper-cardioid polar pattern, but what does this mean? Essentially, it’s very directional making it very good at rejecting sound from everywhere except for where it’s pointed. It’s therefore not designed for ensembles but rather single performers and single instruments. Furthermore, it’s fantastic at avoiding feedback.
A Dynamic Microphone, but not just a vocal mic
We designed the RVD30 primarily as a vocal mic but we don’t want you to stop there! In particular, it’s absolutely superb on guitar cabs, delivering a detailed, lovely balanced sound. Listed below are some of the possible uses for the RVD30, but the possibilities are endless:
- Vocals (lead or backing vocals.)
- Instrument Amplifiers (guitar, bass, etc.)
- Live PA (conference suites, places of worship, etc.)
- Brass Instruments

Bought 4 of these few years ago and they still do the business and they are super well made. Get a good hot signal out them which you need to know what your doing but they sound amazing.
