Replacement shockmount compatible with the RV6 / RV8 / RV10 / RV15. (For use only with Red5 Audio mics). Super-solid all-metal construction with re-enforced elastic. Includes thread-adapter.

Why do I need a shockmount?

Shockmount, cradle or spider mount (as it is sometimes referred to) is an essential piece of equipment when recording. If you’ve already bought a Red5 Audio microphone, we normally include a shockmount with your microphone. If you’ve yet to acquire one of our mics, take a look at the range here

Your Red5 Audio popshield will protect your microphone when in use, keeping it safe from damage. This however is not it’s primary function. A shockmount helps prevent unwanted noise and vibrations that can travel up through the floor or originate from handling the mic stand. It does this by isolation: a small inner piece is suspended entirely by elastic, supported by a larger outer section. The entire assembly fits easily onto your mic stand. Over time and constant use, the elastic may need to be replaced (spare elastic is included).

Please note that this product is intended for use only with Red5 Audio Microphones. Products from other manufacturers are not likely to be compatible.
